New Post

Kicking off the first newsletter and wanted to highlight the top tweets of the last week that I came across and really loved. Let's go-

Man, this one hit me in the feels for sure. At the moment I'm definitely at both the far right side on the top row and second rows with my daughter and my dad. In going through these stages and now going through the beginnings of them again with my own child it really puts things into perspective. Time is not guaranteed for anybody; cherish every moment!

Again, another tweet touches on a similar sentiment as the first one. If you're not already aware or haven't been following me for too long, this is a big feeling that I like to spend time with. It's important to be reminded that good things don't last forever, and that all of our time is fleeting. Can't understate how important it is to be present and focus on what you have in front of you right now, and how far you've come to where you are today.

I feel like Craigslist has been around on the internet since the beginning of it all, and this stat just blows my mind, especially in the day & age of scaling startups and software eating the world... CL has carved out its niche long ago and does what it does best, again and again and again.

What can you accomplish if you can accomplish anything?

Good reminder to do the best that you can in any position or opportunity you find yourself faced with, but you can't get emotional when the math sometimes doesn't make sense. I've been laid off several times in just the last few years, and this truth has become all to familiar to me. It used to be the case for me (and probably still is for many others) to where the culture of the team you're joining is often referred to as a family, but that way of thinking is a trap in getting you to overextend yourself for companies who in many ways might not always be able to do so for you. Each situation is different, but I empathize with this tweet, because nothing is ever guaranteed.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Life is a journey, let's enjoy the ride. Have a great week!
